All Stars Cup 2010 brings 2nd edition of international youth tournament in U12 category (players born 1998 and later). To follow last year, this event takes place again within third weekend of June (19.-20.6. 2010), newly located in sports area of SK Slavia Praha in Prague. As responsible organizer serves All Stars Team agency, repeatedly supported by SK Slavia Praha, one of the most famous Czech football clubs.
The tournament underwent principal changes, which should be ensuring its sports- and social value to be increased. The event moves from Prague suburb to the spacious and well equipped sports area which is a traditional home of Slavia´s youth teams. Here, in a cosy hotel, creatively incorporated as a part of a main stadium will be accommodated all the teams from abroad involving Czech ones from outside of Prague. The total number of participating teams is 12 now, including such renowned clubs as FC Barcelona, Celtic Glasgow or Eintracht Frankfurt. This is really exceptional situation with regard to youth tournament being staged in the Czech Republic.
However, All Stars Cup got both its own logo, and another patron personified by Vladimír Šmicer. Nicknamed „lucky boy“ belongs, without doubt, to the most famous and most successful players in a modern age of Czech football history, today acting as a manager of Czech national squad. In addition, the tournament came under the auspices of mayor of Prague 10 which is a respective city quarter involving Slavia´s sports area.
The tournament is expected to pass through a further development in the future, but preferences seem to be unchangeable thanks to effort to bring attractive football performances in a friendly atmosphere shortly before a closing of the season. Czech teams as well as foreign ones will always be part of it.
